Yiting Lu's Award-Winning Design Fuses Nature and Modern Artistry

The city of Taizhou has a deep connection with water, with its people living beside rivers and prospering through water treatment for over 2000 years. This relationship served as the primary inspiration for Yiting Lu's design. The designer aimed to capture the purity and simplicity of water through the dominant hues of elegant black, frosty white, acorn brown, and azure. The tranquility of the space is emphasized by the dominant grey and white hues, while the ceiling lamp, designed to mimic the natural form of tree branches and fruits, adds a touch of vitality.

Spanning 400 square meters, the sales center is a dynamic space that uses light, furniture, and floral elements to create a sense of vitality. The design's unique properties lie in its distinct manners of texture and color, which bring the space to life. The creative art installation of Russel Crotty at the entrance enhances the visual perception of spatial dynamics, further amplified by the interaction between the art installation and light.

The ceiling lamp above the sand table, made of almost a thousand crystal balls, is another standout feature. Its gentle waveform, hierarchical overlapping design, rich and unified color, and fluid model seem to light up the entire space, reducing the sense of vicissitudes while enhancing the natural and charming beauty of the area.

The project was completed in April 2020, and it stands as a testament to Yiting Lu's ability to pursue natural texture, draw inspiration from the most natural forms, and combine them with lines featuring a rich hierarchical overlapping design. This approach has resulted in a fresh and simple design with dynamic beauty, which has been recognized with a Silver A' Design Award. This award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
